Este es mi Mexico - This is my Mexico

This exhibit is a collection of children’s art work from an the XII edition of the international children’s art competition sponsored by the Mexican Foreign Affairs Department and coordinated through the Mexican Consulate in different countries around the world. The opening reception will be on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and is generously sponsored and hosted by the Mexican Consulate.
With the help of their parents teachers and more the children work to create pieces of art that express their Mexico idyllic that has been engraved in their memory from their earlier years, travels and time spent in Mexico. From images they have seen or stories, myths and songs that they have heard. The use of colors, materials, shapes and more express a full range of emotions displayed in each and every piece that has been created to show a deeper connection to their life, history, culture and memories of a place they once visited, lived or knew.
The reception for Este es mi Mexico will be on Thursday, October 1, 2009 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and is Free to members of the museum and general admission for non-members.
