Este es mi Mexico September 15, 2010 – October 31, 2010 International Museum of Art & Science and the Mexican Consulate will present the 13th Este es mi Mexico (This is my Mexico) children’s drawing contest. Children ages 7 through 12 from all over the world have drawn pictures that reflect their connection, experience and love for Mexico. Sponsored by the Mexican Consulates and Mexican Embassies around the world, Este es mi Mexico provides a unique opportunity for children to showcase their artistic talents and express their cultural relevance familial bond to a nation near to their hearts. Only 120 finalists were selected, a selection of those drawings will be on display at IMAS. This year’s competition is especially significant because the children’s drawings also commemorate the Bicentennial of the Mexican Independence and Centennial of the Mexican Revolution. Este es mi Mexico will be on display in the Welcome Pavilion at the International Museum of Art & Science from Wednesday, September 15, 2010 through Sunday, October 31, 2010.
