Playing with Time October 23, 2010 – January 9, 2011 "Playing With Time" takes visitors on a journey to the unseen world of natural change and shows events that happen too fast or too slow for humans to perceive. You will see time sped up and slowed down, and behold the beauty of change. Time will be in your hands to witness, replay, and even create. You never know... you might not look at things quite the same way again. Visitors will be invited to use high-tech tools to slow down or speed up time. Theyʼll get a closer look at the unseen world of natural change – from popcorn popping and hair growth, to canyons forming, and the universe expanding. Learn how a human being ages, and the changes which happen over minutes, hours and decades. Mimic a plants movements using Green Screen Interactive technologies. Watch fruits and veggies decay over time in Blocks of Time – the “play” aspect of the exhibit. Explore climate change and the earth over time. Visitors will have the chance to play with strobe lights and high speed cameras, and other tools that scientists use to compress and expand time.
